![]() it doesn't do that if I'm in dry run mode. Our Leapfrog Creatr goes through the usual start-of-job moves, proceeds to the location where it would start extruding the skirt, and then comes quietly to a halt.ĮXCEPT. I'm using Firmware 0.82, freshly downloaded, which appears to have the DTR-ignore function pre-set. OK, I just developed what seems like this same problem. The following is repeated many times at the end of the log, looks like the command has the wrong checksum and it never recovers.Ģ:32:59 PM: N2723 G1 X21.11 Y5.32 E135.3127 *113 The GCODE can be found in this forum post for inspection: I don't know how many lines there would be without empty and comment lines. However, this is GCODE including comment lines. This doesn't ring a bell concerning stack overflow due to max variable ranges. The 90th layer starts on line 897'944 in the code. The only explanation which remains is, that it could be some stack overflow problem. There are only FAN on/off, G1 positioning, extruding, retracting and motor speed setting commands, next to " " comment lines. Looking at the GCODE, I cannot find any strange commands either. The PC was off anyway, so there is no possibility, that there was a faulty code sent over USB. The last print was from the SD card, so the USB definitely didn't cause this. All three prints aborted during layer 90. Three of them are from the same KISSLICER GCode. ![]() On the other side, the firmware stops moving the motors, shows idle, keeps the temperatures set and responds to any command through the LCD controller input. So, the host stays in print mode and keeps counting the time till print end. The host sends the last GCODE lines and waits for the firmware to request the next lines, which never happens. However, I checked the last lines of the communication protocol and there is nothing unusual. Unfortunately, this only worked after restart of the host. Ok, last time when printing from the PC, I activated the log.

![]() This could very well be the most important step in the process. the marker will not hold to the canvas thus ruining the entire project. If there are outside contaminates present such as grass, mud, oils etc. We want the shoes to be as clean as possible so that the markers can have a nice even color and that the actual drawings will hold up better. Go ahead and plan what kind of design you would like on your shoe.įor those who are still with me at this point lets get started. ![]() (This took me about 3 good times because again, they were almost black.) If you just bought the shoes you won't need to do this but if you have wore them several times outside or for yard work you might want to go ahead and clean them just so that when you start the design process you will have a clean slate free of chemicals or oils.Īs I stated before if you are just now taking the shoes out of the box you can pretty much skip the cleaning step. Now like I said my shoes were damaged badly so I don't know how long the overall shoe will last me but my first step was to wash/bleach them to a clean surface. ![]() Materials:ġx Pair of Canvas Shoes (Mine had no laces thus making a larger working canvas but any canvas shoe will work)ġx Pack of non-washable permanent markers (I personally used a multi-color pack of Bic markers from Wal-Mart $7)ġx Can of "Water Proofing" spray (I obtained a great deal at shoe show in my local mall for about $6 - SOFSOLE SILICONE WATER PROOFER) So here is what I bought and what you will need if you are planning on tackling your own canvas shoes. So I figure with a little bit of know how and some basic material I could have a potentially epic pair of shoes here. But anyways, the shoes were badly damaged and I knew for a fact I wouldn't wear them in that condition. If my memory serves me correctly I think they were $10. Now these are old school canvas shoes that I had bought at Wal-Mart about two years ago. Well, I don't really have much of a back story here other than I accidentally washed white shoes with black shoes and they gave birth to a Frankenstein pile of garbage. ![]() Finding duplicates with PowerPhotos is easy and it works!īut wait-there’s more! It’s also got its own image browser, so you can search for photos in multiple libraries without even opening the Photos app. I’ve tried many apps that claim to find duplicate photos, but none do it as well or as easily as PowerPhotos. Which brings me to the second great feature: Find Duplicate Photos. It took all night but PowerPhotos merged my three libraries into one! While everything looked good and worked flawlessly, I noticed I had failed to enable Eliminate Duplicates While Merging, so I ended up with a lot of duplicate photos in my monolithic, all-encompassing library. It took all night, but the next day all 65,000 photos and videos were in one library. While a single monolithic library may slow down the Photos app more than three smaller ones, I still wanted everything in one place. The first is merging multiple Photos libraries into one. Two features make PowerPhotos a must-have, at least for me. It works in conjunction with the macOS Photos app, adding tools that help you manage and organize your photo collection, create and manage multiple libraries, and copy photos and albums from library to library while retaining their metadata, including keywords, descriptions, titles, dates, and favorite status. PowerPhotos ($29.99) was just what I needed. Then I remembered hearing Dave Hamilton mention PowerPhotos on his Mac Geek Gab podcast, raving that it offered the tools that should have been built into the Photos app… PowerPhotos to the Rescue! But I was afraid I might the ability to revert modified files to their original state, not to mention all of my carefully curated albums, star ratings, keywords, metadata, and such. I suppose if I were a more patient person, I could have exported the contents of the two archival libraries and imported them into the current one. You have to close the current library to open a different one, so there was no easy way to merge their contents. The bad news was, as I mentioned, Photos restricts you to a single library at a time. That way I’d only need to look in one place for any of my 62,000 photos and 3,000 videos. With larger and cheaper hard drives now plentiful (for backups), I decided I wanted to merge all of my photos from the three libraries back into a single Photos library. I Want My Single Monolithic Library Back! Unfortunately, Photos only lets you use one Photos library at a time, so while breaking up my library made backups and storage easier, it made finding a specific photo a nightmare. I ended up with three separate Photos libraries containing nearly 20 years of pictures and videos. ![]() I guess I started taking more pictures about then because I had to do it again in 2017 when the second Photos library grew to over 200GB. At some point, I decided that my iPhoto/Photos library was too big and archived everything prior to 2014 in a second iPhoto/Photos library. I’ve been taking digital photos for nearly two decades and have managed my photo collection in Apple’s Photos (formerly iPhoto) app for most of that time. Anyone who has tried to change the margins of a bulleted list in Word knows that frustration on a deep level. This is the major downside of all educational technology: the user has to know how to communicate with the computer. Young kids, who are still learning how to use technology, can get very upset very quickly if they don't understand how to interact with Dragonbox, or with any application. The most important question to ask your child whenever they are playing on an educational app is "Are you getting frustrated?" If you want to explore how the Nooms work, you and your child can check out the Sandbox section of the app. The game is so intuitive and fun to explore that my main question to ask is "what happens when you do this?"Īsk your kid to combine two Nooms, split one apart, or make three that are the same size. The more connections your child has between numerals and other representations, the more automatic their reasoning with numerals will become. But repeatedly, they will be asked to connect those numerals to another representation of a number. ![]() They might see 3 and think "something that is three blocks tall."Īs your child moves through the app, they will encounter more and more numerals (the numbers 1, 2, 3, and so on). Mostly, kids interact with numbers as a set of objects, so they think of 3 as "three blocks" or "three circles." When kids see numbers represented as lengths, they begin to understand how numbers can be used to measure objects, not simply to count them. I like the Dragonbox method of representing bars of different heights. I am talking specifically about Dragonbox Numbers. Note that Dragonbox has several other apps for older kids, but I haven't played those yet. If your child is in Pre-K through 1st grade, I highly recommend this game. ![]() I was skeptical at first, but the game won me over with its well-designed activities that get kids thinking about the relationships between numbers, rather than simply drilling math facts. Mostly, these apps focus on repetitive practice of math facts, which doesn't exactly sound like a rich mathematical experience.īut Dragonbox Numbers is a different sort of math app. And the math apps I've found have mostly been underwhelming. It's probably not hurting my kids too much, but it's probably not helping either. So I have a skeptical outlook on the value of screen time. On the other hand, I get freaked out when I leave my kids watching Peppa Pig on Youtube, only to return 20 minutes later to find them watching poorly animated train videos dubbed in Russian. ![]() 3.85 is an estimate of the school's average incoming freshman GPA.
